  • A CTU account (in the Usermap database) is created by establishing an official relationship with CTU (student/employee/partner).
    1. The account is used to access E-mail, KOS, Usermap and other CTU and FJFI systems.
    2. Username (assigned - usually 8 characters)
      • has the form 
        • username_cvut - for access to services operated by CTU or FJFI (KOS, Usermap)
          • ms\username - in cases specified in the instructions to specific services
        • username_cvut@cvut.cz - for access to cloud services (e-mail, generally Microsoft 365 or Office 365)
      • It is one and the same account, only the shape of the username is different. It is not an E-mail address.
    3. The password is valid for 365 days, until then you need to change it. Some systems warn you when your password is about to expire after you log in.

    5. When the official relationship with CTU ends
      1. your CTU account will be terminated
      2. If the account needs to be maintained or extended (maintenance of email services, continuity between two work/study relationships, access to FJFI buildings), the responsible person will submit a request via the ServiceDesk system
        1. According to the agreement, the type of relationship is chosen, e.g. "external person", "external teacher", "collaborator".
        2. The relationship will be set for a maximum period of 1 year, before the end date both the user and the responsible person (supervisor) will be notified by email. If no extension is requested, the relationship and the account will automatically terminate.
